About Tessa

From a young age I attended Ballet and Modern dance. At 16 I auditioned and gained a place at The Hammond School, Chester and studied a 3-year diploma in Modern Theatre Dance. I then went on to travel in Europe as a professional dancer and finally became a resident dancer in a touring circus in Greece and Italy.

After marrying my husband who was a high wire artist from South America, we went on to open our own circus in Venezuela with his family. My dance training led to my main role as choreographer and stage director.

Now back in the UK I have run a circus skills business and more recently have been teaching children’s dance, Zumba Fitness and Salsa Dance. My daughter has decided she too would like a career as a dancer and I recently supported her through the whole audition process and realised how much has changed and as a result I have become extremely passionate about helping our “Future Performers” prepare for their journey through this highly competitive process.

This industry is very competitive. There are so many fantastic colleges and universities that offer professional training in performing arts that it can be a daunting and difficult task to find which journey is right for you. Every college is looking for something slightly different; something unique to them. Aspiring performers need to stand out at the application and audition stages.

That is where Future Performers can help.
