Rom Theatre Arts was founded in 2013 in Great Dunmow, Essex (Near Stansted airport).

RTA run a three year Musical Theatre Professional Diploma Course for age16+ and a One Year Performance Top Up course for anyone that has already done a 3 year course and feels they needed extra year to be industry ready. 

At RTA we pride ourselves in small, intense classes to make sure all our students reach their full potential. Our courses cover all aspects of the performing arts, appealing to a wide range of students. We only have top industry tutors to ensure all of our students get the best training for this profession. Classes covered are jazz technique, ballet, tap, commercial, acting through song, Acting, acrobatics, dialect, ensemble vocal and much more. We also offer private vocal lessons for all students from year 1 along with examinations in dance with ISTD and drama with New Era for students who would like to gain extra qualifications.  

The 1st year at RTA is an introduction to core subjects by providing a thorough grounding in technique. You start to strengthen your core skills whilst preparing for the profession.

The 2nd year of the course aims to build your core subjects, strengthen and broaden your technique. This is the building foundation you were taught in your first year.

The main aim in the 3rd year is to prepare you for the profession.

We are proud to now offer a BA (Hons) Professional Musical Theatre Course. Student finance is available through the normal Student Loan process.
