Mental Health

Future Performers are passionate about providing helpful and sometimes vital resources for students. Training in the performing arts is tough.  It requires a lot of commitment and determination. It is extremely physically and mentally demanding. Constantly pushing yourself to do better, comparing yourself with others, in front of mirrors every day, being corrected day in, day out and coping with rejection are just some of the challenges that are part of everyday training. There are many highs and lows during your training and into your performing career.

It is important to know, if you find yourself struggling, you are not alone and you can get help! Thankfully Mental Health is talked about much more within the industry and there are some fantastic organisations in the UK dedicated to helping, whatever your struggle. We are not qualified to help you but we have however, spent time researching where you can get help and we have dedicated this page to resources for anyone who feels they need advice and support.
